The Gel-Kayano 14 began life as a serious performance trainer, the fourteenth instalment of a line ASICS introduced in 1993 and named after its original designer, Toshikazu Kayano. Its revival has turned that late-noughties silhouette into one of the most recognisable shapes in contemporary sneaker wardrobes.
