Hermès named the Picotin after the small measure of oats once given to horses, and the bucket shape still carries that easy equestrian spirit. In the 18 size it sits neatly in the crook of the arm, carried by its two top handles, with a slouchy silhouette that softens further as the Clemence leather settles with wear.
Gris Pantin is a quiet, considered grey that pairs as readily with camel and navy as it does with black, and the gold-tone hardware lends it welcome warmth. As a Lock model, it is accompanied by the Hermès padlock and keys, a nod to the house's saddlery heritage. Protective feet sit at the base. Inside, a raw hide leather interior forms a single open compartment, with the Hermès logo embossed at the base. This example is brand new, from 2026 production, and arrives complete with its full set of accompaniments.
